About the Role
NY Energy is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Solar Sales Consultant to join our team. This role involves educating homeowners about the benefits of solar energy, guiding them through financing options, and assisting them in making the transition to solar power. The ideal candidate is passionate about renewable energy, enjoys working with people, and thrives in a goal-driven environment.
Responsibilities
Educate homeowners on the benefits of solar energy and NY Energy’s solutions.
Conduct in-home or virtual consultations to assess energy needs and recommend tailored solar systems.
Present financing options, incentive programs, and long-term cost savings.
Generate leads through referrals, networking, and company-provided inquiries.
Manage the full sales process from initial contact to signed agreement.
Work closely with the installation and customer service teams to ensure a smooth transition for clients.
Stay informed on solar industry trends, incentive programs, and local regulations.
Qualifications
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and educate homeowners.
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working independently.
Previous sales experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
Passion for renewable energy and sustainability.
Ability to travel locally for consultations. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
